Senior Testing Practitioner, QA & Testing Automation Practice

We are looking for a qualified Testing Practitioner with work experience in creating and executing test cases, scripts and scenarios for internal and customer facing applications in the Financial Services industry. You will be a critical member of the team that provides the assurance that artifacts, products, and services are of the highest possible quality and ready to Go-Live.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Tester and Testing Team lead, who can design and execute testing for both rapid and complex projects, use the common tools of the trade (e.g.: Selenium, DevOps, Test Case Management), and guide or collaborate with a Testing Team and Business SMEs to facilitate and orchestrate the creation and execution of the UAT phase.

In addition to the familiarity with the testbed, the candidate will showcase the ability to work, communicate and collaborate with diverse teams blending testing practitioners, SMEs and non-technical resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate the Business  and Technical requirements (Epics and User Stories) to create Test Cases and Test Scripts that demonstrate the fulfillment of the requirements and of the broader business expectations.
  • Create testing scenarios that aggregate testing scripts in a logical sequence, to observe the business logic and the processing of the data from component to component.
  • Create testing scripts and perform SIT Testing at the component level (SIT-1: direct interfaces and exchanges) and at the ecosystem level (SIT-2: indirect and downstream) to observe end-to-end behavior of the entire solution.
  • Capture errors, defects and abnormal or unusual behaviors in a Testing Issue Log or similar tool; troubleshoot issues to resolve or escalate to the Build teams for corrective actions.
  • Evaluate the capabilities, performances, dependability, and predictability of the software application through Performance, Load, and Stress testing, including benchmarking standalone performance versus integrated performance of a component (e.g.: API) 
  • Verify that the testing is effective and provides meaningful validation of quality and fitness.
  • Orchestrate the UAT testing between testing teams and associated partners (functional leaders, stakeholders, third parties, users)
  • Coordinate / define the UAT approach, train, and coach Users on UAT protocols and provide infrastructure and support of UAT.

General Activities

  • Participate in meetings, development of proposals, and other efforts related to Testing, Testing Automation and Quality Assurance.
  • Contribute to the development of a world-class Testing and QA Practice, including advanced automation of testing tools and discipline.
  • Collaborate with other colleagues and other practices to expand and share and promote the Testing Knowledge inside and outside of he QA Testing Automation Practice.
  • Increase own competencies and skills through training, certifications and any means to expand knowledge and experience
  • Ensure new team members are being onboarded, integrated, and are engaging with Testing and other teams to deliver value.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of projects / program management, data and workflow integrations with 3rd parties, and the complexity of business application testing and acceptance
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience as testing practitioner
  • Familiarity with web design, UI and CX and workflow management
  • Familiarity with testing and test case management platforms / tools, e.g.,  Selenium, PractiTest, LoadRunner, etc. and automation and obfuscation / anonymization tools
  • Operational fluency with DevOps, CI/CD, and standard project management software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive and tools, videoconferencing, and chat tools
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, root cause analysis, troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently with self-motivation; driven by challenges and motivated by achievement in the face of obstacles
  • Effective communication and interaction skills; positive team spirit
